The FBE Writing Center provides consultation and tutoring services to FBE students on improving the quality of their academic as well as professional writing. Our student consultants come from various areas of Business and Economics, who demonstrate outstanding English proficiency, ample experience in writing, and great passion in helping fellow students.

Services

Our services include:

  • Consultation on academic papers (essays, term papers, case competition projects) and professional writing (e.g., CV, application letters, business proposal, etc.);
  • Comments on organization of paper and formulating ideas;
  • Suggestions on writing styles and polishing existing drafts, etc.

Registration

Students who use this service need to:

  1. Sign up for a session (the upper limit per session is 1 hour, but you can use 30 minutes if your task is simple).
  2. Send the draft paper or task requirement via email to the corresponding consultant, and
  3. Come to the consultation hour at the session that you've signed up for.
  4. Contact writingcentre@business.hku.hk to cancel if you cannot come in order to free up the time slot.

Note

This service is FREE of charge!

Each student can sign up for at most FOUR sessions in each semester.

Contact writingcentre@business.hku.hk if you need further consultation/tutoring service but you have used up the 4 time slots quota.
